Laser Skin Resurfacing
Fraxel re:store™ laser treatment
The benefit of Fraxel is that it provides all the skin rejuvenation benefits of more invasive laser surgery, without the downtime, side effects and lengthy recovery of traditional laser. Fraxel laser treatment produces thousands of tiny, deep columns of treatment in your skin. This “fractional” treatment allows the skin to heal much faster than if the entire area were treated all at once. You will require several treatments, but with each treatment your skin will become gradually softer, tighter and fresher. Fine lines, uneven coloring and brown spots will begin to noticeably fade. The beauty of Fraxel is that you can do a treatment during your lunch hour. The original and most popular Fraxel treatment, Fraxel re:store can resurface damaged skin and uncover the skin of your youth — all with minimal impact on your daily routine. It treats wrinkles around the eyes, acne scars, surgical scars, age spots/sunspots, melasma and Actinic Keratoses. It offers minimal downtime, most patients return to regular activities the very next day.

UltraPulse® C02 Laser Skin Resurfacing
The UltraPulse laser, gently removes surface imperfections, including age spots and precancerous lesions, and tightens skin to dramatically reduce lines and wrinkles. It also stimulates new collagen growth in the dermis, effectively restructuring and restoring skin to a healthy state that closely resembles non-sun-damaged skin. Your skin looks younger, fresher, and firmer.
The UltraPulse laser uses a very high energy beam of light to vaporize scars, lines, wrinkles, and other skin defects layer by layer. Laser light penetrates to a very precise, controlled depth, making the procedure safer and more predictable than treatments such as dermabrasion and chemical peels, and reducing the risk of scarring or uneven pigmentation that may be found with these other treatments.
The procedure involves no incisions and is performed in the doctor’s office without the costs and risks of hospitalization or general anesthesia. Patients are soon able to resume normal activities.
In the first few days after the procedure, your skin will weep as new tissue and collagen are formed by the dermal layer. It will then go through a period of crusting for a few days. When the crusting is gone, the fresh new skin will be reddish-pink (called erythema), which usually fades in 4-12 weeks. (Erythema is a sign that you’re healing. Blood is actively nourishing the growth of your new skin cells.) The pinkness is easily camouflaged by make-up, which usually may be applied in 7-10 days, depending on the depth of the treatment and your skin’s response to the procedure.

Thermage®
Thermage® treatment is the latest non-surgical tool to reverse the signs of aging and sun damage. The non-invasive procedure works by using heat from a radio frequency device to tighten or lift the skin. Initially, the thermage treatment was FDA approved to treat the eye and forehead areas, though in June 2004 thermage treatment received FDA clearance for the full face. Although the thermage treatment does not replace a facelift, the procedure has facelift benefits without the cost, pain, anesthesia, incisions or downtime.
This new medical device by Thermage® is unique and revolutionary. Thermage® skin treatments give patients results without the pulled appearance that often accompanies a surgical face-lift. By utilizing radio-frequency energy the ThermaCool™ system uses the heat generated in the skin to tighten existing collagen and stimulate new collagen growth. This combination of tightening and new growth results in lifting sagging skin, firming skin, and improving wrinkles.
Unlike the face-lift or other surgical procedures, Thermage® is non-surgical, non-invasive, and has no downtime. The procedure is safe and requires less than one hour. Only topical anesthesia is used and patients return to work or play immediately following a Thermage® skin treatment.
Thermage® Skin treatments
- Treatment sessions take about 40 minutes
- Slight redness may occur but resolves quickly
- Slight skin tenderness resolves in a few days
- Thermage® is effectively used to treat buttocks, thighs, legs, arms, abdomen and cellulite as well as the face and eyes

Chemical Peels
Chemical peeling is a technique used to improve the appearance of the skin. In this treatment, a chemical solution is applied to the skin which causes it to separate and eventually peel off. The new, regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. The new skin is also more even in color. Chemical peeling is often used to treat lines under the eyes and around the mouth. Wrinkles caused by sun damage, aging and hereditary factors can often be reduced or even eliminated with this procedure. However, sags, bulges and more severe wrinkles do not respond well to peeling and may require other kinds of cosmetic surgical procedures, such as an eyelid lift or soft tissue filler.
Mild scarring and certain types of acne can be treated with chemical peels. In addition, pigmentation of the skin in the form of sun spots, age spots, liver spots, freckles, blotchiness due to taking birth control pills, and skin that is dull in texture and color may be improved with chemical peeling. Areas of sun-damaged skin, spots of precancerous keratoses and scaling patches may improve after chemical peeling. Following treatment, new lesions or patches are less likely to appear.
Superficial, medium, or deep chemical peels may be used to improve damaged skin - as a rule, the deeper the peel, the longer the recovery time. One or more chemical solutions –– such as glycolic acid, trichloroacetic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid, or carbolic acid (phenol) –– are used. During the procedure, most patients experience a warm to somewhat hot sensation which last about five to 10 minutes, followed by a stinging sensation. Depending upon the type of peel, a reaction similar to a mild to severe sunburn occurs following a chemical peel. Superficial peeling usually involves redness, followed by scaling that ends within three to five days. Medium-depth and deep peeling can sometimes result in swelling and blisters that may break, crust, turn brown, and peel off over a period of seven to 14 days.

Micro-Liposuction
Micro-liposuction using local anesthesia can be beneficial in the treatment of sagging jowls, a double chin and so-called "turkey neck." By removing excess fat to improve the contour of the face and neck areas, this approach allows the dermatologic surgeon to sculpt and rejuvenate the aging face, using micro-thin cannulas, and very small incisions.
Skin Cancer Removal - Mohs Surgery
Mohs micrographic surgery is a specialized, highly effective technique for the removal of skin cancer. The procedure was developed in the 1930s by Dr. Frederic Mohs at the University of Wisconsin, and is now practiced throughout the world. Mohs surgery differs from other skin cancer treatments in that it permits the immediate and complete microscopic examination of the removed cancerous tissue, so that all "roots" and extensions of the cancer can be eliminated. Due to the methodical manner in which tissue is removed and examined, Mohs surgery has been recognized as the skin cancer treatment with the highest reported cure rate.

Spider Vein Treatment
Together, spider veins and varicose veins affect approximately 80 million people in the United States each year. Spider veins are most commonly located on the face and legs. In contrast, varicose veins tend to be localized on the backside of the calf or along the inside of the leg. Although physicians do not fully understand the cause of spider and varicose veins, they do attribute factors such as genetics, weight gain, and hormonal fluctuations associated with pregnancy, birth control pills, and hormone replacement therapy, as well as sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
In addition to being unsightly, some types of spider and varicose veins can be associated with varying degrees of pain and discomfort, and in some instances, more serious medical conditions. As the most common treatment option available, sclerotherapy is a safe, effective, nearly painless procedure used to treat spider veins and varicose veins on the body.
